Hi everyone ive been a nurse for 7 months or so working in a retirement community. Im moving to deland florida and very curious about the hospital there and other job opportunities that are well paid. I'd like to steer away from the geriatrics and branch out to new fields. Any ideas?

I volunteered in the DeLand hospital before moving back to NY to attend nursing school there. It's very much a community hospital, and staff is pretty nice. However, you will continue to see geriatric patients. There is a slower pace there, unless that is ok with you. If not, you might fare better at the hospitals in Daytona Bch or Ormond.
