Hello All,

I am a new grad since June. I have been working med-surg. I enjoy the work I do a lot but I hate the place I work at:madface: and I need to look for other work but I don't know if that is wise since I am a new grad. I also need a change in hours due to family matters. I could sure use some advice from any and all who have it to give :uhoh21: . Thanks in advance.

I hear great things about AAMC.

i am a new RN here in the philippines and have no experience yet working as a registered nurse coz im planning to finish first all the foreign exams, esp the requirements of Maryland.however, i heard that this is a "walk through" city which, if im not mistaken, is a place for travel nurses.i have no plans of being a travel nurse.i wana have a stable place to live and work in b/c i have a family of my own already.now, i wana know if this is possible despite what i've heard that this is a "walk through" city for nurses..i have no much details about this.i heard it is also a nice place for nurses. and the eligibility, how long will it take in maryland? i hope i will be answered asap..thanks!

God bless!! :kiss:p

I am planning to apply in maryland and i already request for licensure by exam in their BON.how long will it take before i receive the form?I only requested last week and I emailed them but there's still no response regarding my request.anyways, i also read here that Maryland is a "walk through" city and as far as i know, it's about travel nurses.

However,i have no plans of being a travel nurse. I wanted to stay in maryland for the longest time i want. I want a stable job there and a stable living. Is it still possible for a BSN,RN like me?and is their processing that long or not so long?i hope i can hear from u soon. thank you!

I have no idea what a "walk-through city" is but all states are in need of full-time nurses. There are plenty of opportunities. The fact that you intend to stay and work long-term @ a particular area is even better. There's nothing worse than a newly oriented RN to up and leave the hospital. Considering the fact that there aren't any contracts to be signed, this happens a lot. What form are you waitaing for?

thank you for the fast reply.i am a nurse here in the philippines. i requested for the application for Licensure by Exam from maryland BON office, i emailed them already.but i have no idea how long will it take before i receive the form together with the finger print card.these are some of our requirements to be able to take the NCLEX. anod how is Maryland? is it a good place for nurses? do they pay good? how about the tax? i hope i could get more informations. thanks so much! ;):kiss

"Walk Through" mean you can get a temporary licensed in just 1 hour or up to a day. That mean you can get a licensed to work with while you wait for your permanent licensed. Maryland is just one of 7 or 10 states that offer this.
