New Nurse looking for job in California

Hi,

I am a brand new Nurse who just graduated with a BSN in Boston, Ma. I have been a nursing assistant at Childrens Hospital in Boston for three years now as well. I really wanted to relocate to California for a job. I do not know anyone there and have no idea where to start. I really like the idea of LA children's hospital. I don't know how much nurses make over there but I know the cost of living is very high, but it is in Boston as well. I was also looking at San Diego and Santa Monica as well. ANY information at all would be very helpful.

My suggestion: check out what the requirements are to get a California license and get that process started right away. The California BON is very slow at processing applications for new licenses or endorsements.
