New nurse, no job, stressed.. HELP (NY/NJ)

Published

ANY ADVICE, PLEASE.

I am going to make this short and to the point because it can get confusing/too much to read:

-I had been working as a nursing assistant since 2015 in the state of New Jersey

-Started nursing school in the state of New Jersey (where I lived), filled out my nursing application and my NCLEX for the state of New Jersey

-Moved to New York, got a job working as a nursing assistant in New York

-Graduated with my BSN, took the NCLEX and became a licensed nurse in the state of New Jersey

-Because I passed my NCLEX and am recognized as a nurse in the state of NJ, I lost my nursing assistant job at the hospital in New York (long story as to why I started with the NJ license, but basically I already had the NJ paperwork done, and if I had decided to do the NY instead, I would have lost all of the money spent on the application and the amount of time would have been extremely long)

-I am waiting for my license to be endorsed by the state of New York, which is where I ultimately want to work. However, I am currently unemployed and desperately need to start working somewhere. New York is so backed up, it may be until September I receive my license. However, I have not been working since June so it is starting to really hurt.

ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED PLEASE.
