I am a new NP and I am just wondering where everyone finds conferences to go to. I found the NP/PA Advance List of state conferences for 2013. Also, recommendations for good conferences or companies that provide good continuing education opportunities.

I always go to the AANP conference every year. When AANP is in Orlando, the family comes along; when it is in Las Vegas as it is this year, my partner and I go alone and the kids stay home, lol. I also attend a regional family medicine conference. I have chosen different ones every year. Check with larger medical schools near you, or your state medical association; they either organize them or know who does, and they are always happy to have NPs/PAs. I've done some very good networking at those, as well as gotten some excellent reference materials gratis!
I also pick a discipline I want to bone up on and attend a conference in that specialty, usually in a terrific location because we bring the family and make a vacation out of it. This year I chose the rheumatology winter clinical symposiumlast month in Hawaii, and it was excellent. There are also educational cruises if you are a fan of cruising. We are not, but to each their own.
