so apparently there is a new type of test that will include multiple choice questions with the option to select multiple answers. There will also be a sequencing section, identify images, and fill in section.
i have heard secondhand from nursing instructors that this will be more difficult than the previous exam. I am curious to hear others opinions. IMHO the original exam was not amazing because it didn't ensure that you had the knowledge of how to be a good nurse, rather it was ensuring you can take an exam.
I was under the impression that you can only select one answer in multiple choice questions on the current format. The new one allows multiple selections.
NCSBN website. You can compare the 2013 test plan to the new 2016 test plan. No major changes. There has always been SATA, drop and drag, hot spots, etc.
