So I passed nclex and I started applying to LTC but where else should I apply to...my goal is to do bayada with children but I was told I need 1 year experience{even though I worked with severe disabled children is a school setting for 6 years along with nursing staff}
so in the meantime what else should I try and get into,I know a Dr's office is not going to pay much but the hours would be better then LTC and less stress but no clinical experience.
So my question is where do you work as an LPN?????

:clpty:CONGRATULATIONS!!!
LTC's are a good place to start. They will give you expereince. You should, of course, go through "help wanted" ads. Smaller hospitals sometimes hire LPN's, depending on region. You can try doctor's offices and clinics. You may be able to do Assisted Living or group homes. Also, pediatric home care agencies may consider you based on your prior experience. They usually require one year nursing experience. But, the cases are usually kids with severe disabilities so they may consider your experience relevent enough. Good Luck to you.
