i'm a brand new lpn having difficulty finding a job in the saturated job market in pennsylvania/delaware state line area. i'd really like to go somewhere the lpn is more respected and utilized. (the job market isn't what they talked about in nursing school!) my husband has a friend and i have an aunt that live in the houston/spring area. he's practically guaranteed a job. i'm worried if we make the move i still won't find anything. anyone know anything about how in demand lpns are and/or what realistic salary expectations would be in the spring area?
the only nursing experience i have is nursing school. i've worked for a 24 hour call center for the last 6 years. i'm thinking this is part of the problem of why i'm not getting any interviews.
i appreciate everyone's time, thoughts, and helpful suggestions,
megan

Hi there. I just moved to Houston for a job opportunity ( and for my signifigant other lol) but jobs seem to be ehh. Alot of places want experience, which of course as new grads we obviously don't have. Hope everything turns out ok for you.
