Hello I wanted to know if anyone was thinking about attending the 2018 NJCU cohort for nursing in September 2018?
Also has anyone graduated or currently in? I have one last prereq to do which is Microbiology. I just need some in-site
Hi Everyone,
I am also applying to the NJCU Jersey City cohort! For those of you that took the HESI was there plant biology on there? I am using two books to study from, the Elsevier and the Trivium books. The Elsevier book doesn't touch on plant biology but the Trivium book goes into depth about it as well as evoultion.
As for the the NursingCAS application do we have to wait for the references to be completed before submitting the application? I checked the FAQ's on the website but couldn't find an answer.
Also is anyone going to the Wall information session on 3/21? I couldnt get off work for the JC one.
Hello Everyone!
Looks like we have two different forums going! https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/njcu-absn-2018-1095776-page3.html
How is the application process for everyone?!
Good luck!
Hey y'all!
Got a situation that I could use your input on and has got me stressing a bit. I know chemistry is not a prerequisite course but i recently got a bad grade in chemistry and I'm afraid the admission board will look at it and use it against me.
Do you think this can hurt my chances and what do you think I can do to redeem myself? Maybe i can address it in my nursing essay?
My prereq grades are all As except one B and I'm taking the HESI tomorrow. I took the HESI last year and got a 90 so I'm hoping for a higher grade this time knowing how it is now.
@Jazminjfuertes they MOST likely and that's a BIG MOST are not worried about chemistry as that is not a required prerequisite . As long as you got a C or better in your prerequisite you are good but that's kinda iffy in a way because if it brought your GPA below a 3.0 it may not be as competitive but just do well on that Hesi and your chances will be great because I've read people getting in with GPA's below a 3 but with high Hesi scores

Yes, I actually just took it a few days ago. 96% composite score.
Pace yourself well. The good thing about this exam is that you get to choose which sections you want to complete first. You will also see your current progress after completing a section to gauge how you are doing overall.
I studied literally for four days and just used the aforementioned materials. Wishing you the best.
