Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello I wanted to know if anyone was thinking about attending the 2018 NJCU cohort for nursing in September 2018?

Also has anyone graduated or currently in? I have one last prereq to do which is Microbiology. I just need some in-site

@Uniquezapata

Nice. What are the pre-req classes Felician requires? Also, I hope you got the e-mail of the change in location for the info session. They changed it from Rossey Hall to NEW LOCATION The Gothic Lounge Hepburn Hall, 202.

@rose001 yes I just saw the email and the pre-req for felician are (copied from site)

High school or university-level chemistry course* – 4 credits

Anatomy* and Physiology I* & II* – 8 credits

Microbiology* – 4 credits

Statistics – 3 credits

Lifespan Development – 3 credits

@Uniquezapata

Oh ok, thank you. Hope to see you tomorrow :)

Hey @rose001 I am on my way but in traffic I was wondering if you can message me in case I miss anything or if they don't allow anyone in after 5 I should be there at 5:15.

@Uniquezapata

Sorry Unique, I saw your message too late. I hope you made it there just fine. You didn't really miss anything if thats the time you came in. What row were you in? I was on the right of the room, second row, second seat.

@rose001 I was all the way to the left against the window by the coffee.

@uniquezapata yes that has to be done before the deadline but you don't have to send the Application after you do the hesi. If everything is done for the app you can send the application out before the deadline and do the hesi after but that has to also be done before the deadline too. I want to send out my application as soon as my grades post so my transcript and everything is not delayed. The hesi scores go directly to the school

@rose001 & @dianaju I know during the info session they Mentioned we should take the Hesi first before filling out the application and submitting and paying for the application, that way we can make sure we get an 80 above(they said usually like 86+). Because they said if we don't get that then we practically wasted money on the application if we don't get the grade for Hesi..

@Uniquezapata so you mean to tell me if it's not really above and 80 they won't look at you?? So above an 80 is a for sure way of getting in?

Hey ladies,

From what I understood at the info session, I don't think that we should worry too much about one specific part of our application. They said they look at the application as a whole. I've heard of pleople getting in even when they got 80s on their HESI. Let's just study as much as we can for the HESI and do our best on it. :)

Yes @Rose001 after my semester ends 12/6 I committing the whole month of January to study the Evolve 3rd Nd 4th edition

@dianaju yes that's exactly what they said if we don't get an 80 or above don't apply and waste money because they only look at the minimum grade of 80 above. But they said that's it the only factor the 80 is one of the ways to get in and then your recommendation letters & essay. & Bachelors Gpa.
