Hi Everyone!
I recently accepted a new position within Home Health! I'm so excited about this opportunity - It is something I have wanted to try for some time, and now am being given the chance!
I really wanna do things right! What do you encourage to bring with you in the car (other than the basics) to make the day go smoother or easier? What would you find in your car on a typical day? What tips do you have? I'm gonna make a "shopping list" for helpful items to have for my new job. Any feedback is appreciated! :loveya:
Thanks guys!!!

There was a post or two quite awhile back where some people talked about what they keep in the trunk of their car. One lady was pretty detailed if I remember right. If you do a search in the home health forum you might be able to find that particular thread or others. Right off: always carry a supply of blank forms you might need; an extra uniform with shoes, sometimes things happen and you will be happy to have a change of clothing; raingear, jacket, or sweater; emergency stuff for car, in case of a car malfunction out in the middle of nowhere; always have your cell phone and a car charger; a list of phone numbers to agency, nonemergency police, etc.; meals, snacks; drug book; your laptop and power cord; a nursing bag set up the way your agency wants it: clean and dirty pockets together with whatever supplies they give you; something to occupy yourself if you have downtime, such as a book to read; any nursing reference you might find handy, there are a few dealing with home health procedures, etc. I'm sure others will come up with other goodies. Organizers for your trunk to keep all this stuff easily accessible. HTH
