I am a new BSN graduate nurse, and have my first interview tomorrow! I am excited/nervous, which seems normal, but what I am really scared about is an NLN exam this institution gives, upon which you must score at least an 80%. I am wondering if anyone else has interviewed at an institution with a policy such as this, and if so, did they warn you before or did you have to take it at the face-to-face interview? Thanks for any help!

I took it after I was hired and they gave me a study guide beforehand. It wasn't bad at all. I don't know if they would ambush you with it at an interview. That doesn't sound like it would set anyone up for success. Good luck!
Thanks so much hurleygirli!

My school required that we take the NLN exam before we graduated as a tool to diagnose any potential weak areas before going into the NCLEX. To be honest, I thought I did horrible on it but ended up scoring really well. If I remember correctly it had a lot of pharmacology questions on it. But don't stress, go into it knowing that you already know this stuff!
Best of luck!
