Hello everyone :) I graduated from LPN school this past Thursday.....I was valedictorian!! What a great feeling!! Now that the school part is over, my focus is on taking the NCLEX and finding a job.

I have submitted my resume to several places already and actually have an interview tomorrow at a pediatric clinic. I really would LOVE to get this job, but am super nervous about the interview.

Do any of you have any advice for me in regards to the interview? What kinds of questions will they ask? Is there any way I can prepare myself for this interview? I really want to make a good impression. I want this job so badly, but I know there is a lot of competition for it. I just really want to do well. Any advice or tips would be GREAT. :)

Also, where online can I go to find practice questions with rationales for the NCLEX? I should get my ATT card in the mail in a couple of weeks and plan to schedule the exam asap...but in the meantime I want to prepare myself for the NCLEX by doing practice questions and reading the rationales...this was my instructor's advice. Anyone know where I can find practice questions??

Thanks so much.

If the school you attended used ATI for their standardized tests the practice quizzes should stil be open for you, if not saunders has a great pre NCLEX book available. I think that helped alot. I wish you the best of luck. Just remain calm and remember you made it through nursing school and the knowledge you gained throughout the program is still in your brain even if it is in the deep recesses. Jake

I used Saunders and for me it was too easy compared to the actual questions on NCLEX-PN. I like the fact that it was a comprehensive review along with about 3K questions. Now I also used Kaplan Test Taking Strategies. They had sample questions which I found to be more like the NCLEX than Saunders, but not enough questions to practice with. I heard that Lippencott is a great source too, I've never used it though. Good Luck and hope this helps
