New grads jobs in the Bay Area CA

Published

Im going to graduate with my ADN in December. Im currently out of state right now and plan to move to California once Im graduated. Anyone have any idea if hospitals are hiring new grad ADNs in the Bay Area? Im gonna be moving to Gilroy area about 45 mins south of San Jose.

When do you plan to take the NCLEX? Right now, St. Louise in Gilroy has no nurse openings and Natividad (30 miles south in Monterey County) has a few. There will likely be more by December. Most Bay Area hospitals prefer BSNs or ELM RNs, but the non-Magnet facilities will hire ADNs. My suggestion is to look at beginning your RN-BSN program online as soon as possible. Most hospitals will either pay for the degree or offer tuition reimbursement for full-time employees. Western Governors University has a very good program that's not too expensive.

Yeah I plan to take the NCLEX in December/asap. I plan on getting my BSN started too as soon as I can get hired somewhere. Thanks for the info
