New grad

I'm a new grad who has received an invitation for a job interview on a mental health inpatient unit and am really looking for advice! I want to nail this interview as this position is a) exactly where I want to be and b) opens up a lot of future possibilities. I do have previous employment experience with mental health as well as a placement on a forensic mental health unit and I completed my integrated practicum on a forensic mental health unit. I have researched the organizations vision, mission and values, and made sure to read through their strategic plan. I am reviewing my psych notes for disorders and medications, as well as looking up commonly asked interview questions so that I can prepare my answer in advance. Beyond that, are there any tips or tricks? Ideas of mental health specific questions I may be asked? I want to do well in this interview and any help would be appreciated!!!

Looks like you're well prepared. I would pay attention to "what would you do if..." questions, those always seemed to be in all my interviews. I would also ask questions if given the opportunity at the end. How does the unit support new grads? This shows you're serious about the job.

Be confident, humble and showcase your value as an employee, Goodluck, you'll do great.

I agree with Novo. There are always hypothetical questions. For example, "What would you do if your patient was expressing suicidal ideation?" I have been asked that one many times.

Also, I was usually asked: "What is your greatest strength / weakness?"
