New Grad Seeking job in Charlotte

Nurses Career Support

Published

Hey everyone!! SO ok in May and after I pass(hopefully) NCLEX I will be a brand spanking new Registered Nurse!! woohoo!!...at the moment my excitement about graduating is squelched by the stress of class, clinical, NCLEX prep, and FINIDNG A JOB. I am currently living and going to school in Greenville NC at Pitt Community College. My plans after graduation are to return to Charlotte where my family is based. So I have been looking online mostly at all the different CMC locations and facilities but am open to any and all . I would love to end up at Levine Children's hospital or maybe in the Behavioral Health unit or Neuro...Im really not picky..however on most of the descriptions of the positions there is mention of 1-experience requirements and 2-preference of BSN over RN... I figure most specialized areas like Psych and Peds do require experience and all that but I am just wondering if anyone out there in the world of allnurses knows of CMC policy on highering new grads and if they really do only higher BSN? Any and all advice is appreciated-Thanks!!
