Hello all! I am a new grad and am having difficulty finding a hospital position. However, I have an offer for a school nurse position. My questions is will my experience as a school nurse say in a year or two help me get into hospital, or do hospitals want a hospital experience only?
Any and all advice is highly appreciated!
Anyone? Please?

I think any experience is better than no experience. I worked in a dermatology clinic for two years and was still able to land a job in my preferred unit (OB).
You will still gain valuable assessment and time management skills as a school RN-play those up in your cover letter/applications to hospitals.
Good luck!

Thank you for your input! Numerous people told me not to take it and instead keep searching for the hospital position, but I just dont know if Ill be able to land that anytime soon.
I think I will go ahead and take that offer and see where it takes me from here.
Cheers!
