New Grad/ Resident Nurse Starting/AVG Pay in GA/Georgia

Published

For those that are current new grad nurses or started 2019 or later and or in residency, what was your starting pay as a new grad in GA? did your speciality increase the rate or was it a flat rate based on being a new nurse?  Where you offered regular nurse pay during your residency or a lower rate? etc. Just curious to see what the average/ pay trend is in GA currently.

This is an old post but I will answer..it really depends on where (what flavor) of nursing you are interested in.

Doc offices pay between $25-35/hr, home health hospice mid 30's an hour as do the hospitals. Long term care is about high 20's and hour to low 30's an hour. Even for new Grads. A lot depends on what specialty you are interested in and where in Ga. as you are likely to make more closer to ATL than in a rural area.

Thank you so much for taking out the time and responding! I appreciate the insight. @Olivelove20
