new grad residency at Emory in Atlanta

Nurses Career Support

Published

Hello everyone. I just applied to the nursing residency program at Emory hospital in Atlanta this month (the due date was the Sept. 15th). I was just wondering if anyone would like to share their experience with their hiring process (how long until you hear back and pay rates). I am from out of state so the more information I have will help with planning.

Thanks in advance!

Step 1 waiting for HR's calling, which takes forever for some people or few weeks for others

Step 2 waiting for unit director's calling to schedule interview

Step 3 on site interview

Step 4 welcome to Emory

You say the call from HR may take a while, but how long is that from the time the submission of applications were due? Im worried that I will get a job offer here in my state before I hear back from Emory. Emory is my first choice and I don't want to turn down a job here just to find out later that Emory doesn't want me.

To be honest, I cannot tell you exactly for how long the HR will respond your application. Some people get it right away, and others don't. If you go back to check Emory resident post, you will find that most people had been waiting for months. Emory usually recruit comparably many new grad,so that they have to process for very long time. Being patient was the slogan for many of us waiting for the summoning.lol

Hahaha. Thank you for your reply!
