Hi y'all making this discussion for anyone who has applied to Children's Dallas/Plano new grad residency for their July 2025 cohort! Best of luck to all : )

Were screening emails sent out to everyone considered tonight? My app says "still under review". I know apps closed this evening, but I applied the first day they opened. I presume I did not get selected, however, congratulations to you all!! So exciting 🙂

mine says that as well! Im sure theyre also still reviewing those that sent in applications today give it a couple days ! 🫶🏼

I just received the screening about an hour ago.  This is my first time applying so I have no clue how the process works. My application also says "Application Under Review" so who knows what hoops we still need to jump through. I believe they had a video screening for last years cohort, don't know if we still need to go through that step.

I had previously applied for their ADN apprenticeship, not the residency, but yes after this initial screening email, they gave selected applicants a video screening followed by an actual interview. However, I do not know if the first emails were sent in one batch or in waves.

do you know if they had ADN this year? I never saw the application.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question LOL, but what's a screening before the interview?

I didn't see it either. I do know the one I applied to was for December '24 and April '25, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are pushing the next cohort to a later date. It wouldn't hurt to email a Children's recruiter to ask for the next application date.

Not dumb at all. The video screening we did was recording ourselves answering a set of questions. They reviewed our answers and then offered interviews to a select number of applicants. I do not know if they will be doing this again as I had applied to their adn apprenticeship and not the residency.

No problem! Be sure to check your email frequently, they have been known to email at odd hours fyi 🙂

Do you know if we can go back and change our response before Wednesday? I keep having second thoughts about the units I picked!

I am unsure. I would email for clarification about that. They are really friendly and accommodating. I had messed up on my video recording, and the recruiter was very kind and sent me a new link to do it again. I would try reaching out!

does everyone get a screening email or are they selected? 

also, do we know if the emails are sent out in waves or all at once?
