New grad positions in northern colorado-- when will Banner post them?

Published

Hi there. Just graduated with my BSN in December and I'm moving to Greeley/Loveland area for my husbands school in August. I'm applying for the UCHealth New Grad Residency that starts in October, but also looking to apply to the Banner one. I've heard they just post the positions in the normal job search section of their website, with "new grad" in the title, is this true? Also, most importantly, when can I expect them to post some positions? The only ones that show up when you search "new grad nurse" are in Arizona, and this has been the case for the past two months that I've been checking.

If anyone has any other helpful info about either new grad program, or tips for where to live (I've heard there are gang problems and really sketchy areas of Greeley??), let me know. Thanks!!

I work for a Banner facility in Loveland CO. I graduated a year ago. My classmates and I just applied to positions. I only saw one that specifically stated New Grad. They will hire new grads for general med surg and sometimes other areas. Just apply to what you are interested in.

I personally live in Fort Collins. There, Loveland, Windsor and surrounding areas are really nice. There are nice places in Greeley, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Thanks for your response! Should I just apply to the RN positions listed on their website even though every single one of them says 12 months experience required? The job postings also all say "New grad? Click here to apply to our new grad experience" But then it just links to the search bar showing no new grad positions in colorado at all. Bleh.

I'd actually like to work in Loveland, we're thinking of living there and having my husband commute. It seems like a nicer area. Do you like your facility? What unit do you work on?

I would definitely apply. I got one of those positions with only 6 months working as a nurse in a LTC. And I had classmates that got a position right out of school. I can't say you will definitely be hired, but they will hire new grads into those positions sometimes.

Loveland is nice, though I don't know a lot of the area. I work on the med surg floor of McKee, and I do like where I work. Its a smaller hospital, which is nice when you are newer to working in a hospital setting.

Did any of y’all go through the recruiter Danielle? Because she is pushing through none of my applications and won’t answer any emails.
