New Grad Perioperative Nurse Residency Program - Advice?

Specialties Operating Room

Published

I have received the best Christmas gift ever - a job as a new grad OR RN! I am eager to begin my training and would like any advice on what to expect. The hospital requires a three year commitment and I have heard the on-the-job training is intense. The pros and cons of a day in the life of an operating room nurse will be greatly appreciated! Happy New Year and best of luck to all the new grads searching for employment.

Hi ILUVFLRN, BSN !

I have an interview for this exact program tomorrow and I'm sooooooo excited and nervous! I'd really appreciate any advice your have regarding the interview:

How did the interview go?

How many people interviewed you?

What did they ask? (if you remember)

What are they looking for in a candidate?

What advice do you have for acing this interview?

How is this program? (Details)

Do you like the program? (Any advice/tips?)

Hope to hear from you before my interview, I'd REALLY appreciate it:x3:

Thanks in advance!
