New Grad Orientations!!!

Hi Nurses,

I have a question about new graduate nursing orientations in hospitals. I currently live in Hawaii, but I am moving to New York City in September. Yikes!!! I just graduated in May, from an ADN program, received my license in the state of Hawaii, and am working on getting licensed in the state of NY. Trying to figure this stuff out online can often be frustrating.

Does anyone know of hospitals in NYC that offer new grad programs including didactic/classroom training, and preceptorships. I'm really excited to start my nursing career, but don't want to get thrown onto the floor completely on my own.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You!!!

Lisa

Have you looked at any hospitals individually? You could probably call human resources. Maybe check out their websites. You won't be on your own when you get hired. You will be with a preceptor for a certain amount of time, no matter where you go.
