Hi, I graduated in May 2013 and passed the boards in July.
I was so happy that all the hard work was over and I was so ready/excited to work as a registered nurse!!
I have been searching and applying everywhere since July and the job market
is truly discouraging. I've had 2 interviews so far but sadly I was not offered a job.
btw they never call me with a followup. I had to call them thousand times and they would
say "due to the high volume of applicants, we are not able to contact and update all the
candidates.. blah blah.."
I graduated a nursing school in NY with a BSN and nursing internship experience. I have 2 volunteer experiences and my GPA is 3.52.
I don't know have any other healthcare experiences than that. is it my resume or what
why can't I get a job ?!?
It's been a while since I graduated and I'm extremely anxious about not getting a job at all.
Now I am thinking about the agencies. does anyone have an adivce or work for an agency as a new grad?
please help!
any comments would be highly appreciated.

NY is the toughest market in the US. You may need to relocate. It isn't you. It's the lack of a job market in your area.

Agreed. Start looking at small towns and consider relocation. The cities are saturated with new and experienced nurses, few positions.
Move out of state if you need to. It may not be ideal, but you need to start gaining experience.
yeah. I think those hospitals from upstate or smaller hospitals were more open to the new grads.
now I got a per diem position in NJ and waiting for the endorsement which takes another several weeks.
but I finally got something. :)
