New grad No job so far

Hello my friends,

I am new practical nursing graduate in Canada. Recently I have been applying for 100s of jobs but got not a single call. One agency called me and offered personal support worker job since I don't have any expeinrce. Most shocking they offered me 12$/ hour. New grad initiative program doesn't seem to be helping either. One nursing home has new grad position for next year. So I am thinking if I do volunteer work there, would that help me get that new grad initiative position next year at the same facilty .
