New grad moving from AB to ON.. where to take Nclex?

Hi,

I am a 4th year nursing student from Alberta.

I am planning to move to Ontario to be closer to my family once I finish my degree.

I was wondering if I should take Nclex in Ontario since I will be applying to hospitals in ON? Or should I still take my Nclex in AB? TIA

The hospitals in Ontario do not care where you take the NCLEX. Suggest you obtain your Ontario registration before you submit your resume, as you will be in competition with many other local qualified grads and experienced nurses.

Unless regulations have changed substantially, regardless of where you write, you will have to register in Alberta before you'll be able to register in Ontario.
