I am a new Nursing Grad in Ontario, and for the past few months have been applying for jobs after jobs, haven't received any calls or emails from anyone yet. I even got my past clinical instructors to take a look at my Resume, and all told me that its great. Anyway, I got an email from a hospital in Hamilton that has invited me for a Nursing Job fair, I RSVP'd right away..however, I went on their website and it says "Nursing Job fair for Experienced Nurses" I am so confused now, should I go anyway? I am desperately in need of a Job right now, and want to be given a chance to be noticed. Please help me out and let me know if it would be beneficial for me to go anyway?
Anyone working for St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton know if they allow new grad nurses at the Job Fairs? and if they do interviews on the spot?
Making connections is also a benefit of going to job fairs. Even though they may not have a position, they could potentially pass your name to someone who might.
