New grad interview questions

Hi everyone,

Well i had a phone interview today which must have gone well because she asked me in tomorrow for a in pperson interview, thing is it has happened so fast i am not prepared at all.

I really want this job as i did a lot of my clinical rotations there and know the system

Please give me any tips and i would love it if someone could give me any ideas of what questions to ask them.

So i went for my interview last week. I think it went well but can't be sure. I met with the director of a floor that i had done 2 rotations of my clinicals on so the 2 nurses that were also present i had met before. The interview lasted about 35 minutes and i was drenched with sweat hahaha.

So after the director walked me down to HR told them to do a background check and said i'd know in a few days if i had the job.

Anyway it is now over a week later and i haven't heard anything. They did check my work references on monday of this week.

I want to call and find out either way but people tell me to wait till Friday..

Please give me any advice you can....

Maybe wait til tomorrow? They may still be conducting your background check. I recently got hired and was told by my previous employers (which were friends) that they had been contacted by the hospital to verify my employment on a Monday. I received an official offer letter 2 days letter on a Wednesday. Aside from your previous employment, they may be checking your education, license and criminal background...it takes a while. Be patient...I think its a good sign they are doing a background check...they wouldn't go through so much trouble if you didn't do well in your interview.

Oh thats so good to hear from you. people keep saying that they wouldn't bother with references if they were not interested but as you are probably aware of this is a very stressful time because i REALLy want this job.

Trust me, I know! While I was waiting to hear from this place, I was SO stressed out that I drove my boyfriend, friends, etc crazy because that is all I could think, talk about! But I got it & I'll cross my fingers that you do too! Good luck & I would love to hear when you get the much awaited phone call offering you the job!

How long after the interview did you have to wait?

I'm such a worry wart with things like this, mainly becasue i have applied to about 50 jobs and haven't had any reply.

What school did you go to and when did you graduate. I love that we can boost each other on this website.

Thank you for the awesome tips on interview questions. No matter how much I practice questions before the interview, my nerves always get me during the interview and ends up coming out wrong. Ty!
