Hello All!
I will be graduating in May with my BSN. I am currently an LPN and looking to see what current pay scales for new grad RNs are? Also, do any places give "credit" for my 4 years as an LPN?
I'm hoping to get into Women's Health (L&D/Mother&Baby), but open to all options.
Thanks!

To my knowledge, most employers do not count LPN experience towards being an RN because of the difference of role. What part of MA are you in?

I would expect to be paid the same as your RN new grad colleagues. The pay range will vary widely between Boston-Worcester-Springfield and the suburbs so where you plan to work will affect your expected pay.
I've heard some nurses say they've received half the years experience for whatever they've done as an LPN. I suppose it will all depend on where I end up applying.
That's what I was thinking. Kind of stinks...I work alongside RNs now, doing the same things as them. I'm looking to work in Worcester or Boston area.
Thank you!
