New Grad Bay Area - Job Outlook

For new grads from nursing programs in the area, how has your job search been? Are you finding jobs that you like? 

Some of my instructors keep saying that hospitals are so desperate for people and that they are hiring ADN students for specialty areas (I.e., PICU). There is one person who I know this happened to, but I feel they are taking this one example and running with it.

I keep hearing this too, but I went to school in Stockton with nurses who said they couldn't find jobs in the bay area.  So I'm not as hopeful as I once was, but then again it's not stopping me from trying.  
Looks like you posted this in April, did you end up finding something?
