Hi there, quick question for my seasoned ER RNs. I have to keep up with CE units for my RN license in my state, plus i'd love to keep up on new research and general ER info (new to the ER). Does anyone have recommendation for magazines, journals, or specific memberships to groups that would be beneficial? There are so many to chose from I thought I'd get some opinions. Thanks!

A good place to start would be to join the ENA, emergency nurses association.

Start with ENA, then I'd suggest AACN. American Association of Critical Care Nurses. It's cheap, less than $100 and all their CEU's are free.
After that, I'd suggest plan on a conference a year. Try to get your hospital to pay for it but if not save up. If you can't swing it every year then try every other year. Local chapter of both ENA and AACN will prob have offerings.
Check out your hospital library. Most journals have CEU of some type. Getting credit usually cost, but it's not enough. Depending on your state you may get some credit for reading.
