What's it mean to "walk the line"? Never heard of that. Well, congrats on starting in corrections. I had my doubts, but after doing it for a year or so, it's just a dream job. Great support from coworkers, lots of sick humor, you learn things everyday without even thinking about it. Who knew this would be my favorite nursing job so far???
\Hello fellow Nurses,After lurking on this part of the board for nearly six months I finally got a job in corrections. I applied through MHM about 2 weeks ago and got a call for interview last week. I was so excited and amazed all at the same time while being on tour at my interview through the facility. The staff was amazing and everyone seemed like a big family even though it was a prison. The prison I will be working with is one of the largest in this part of the country. I will be staffed in the Mental Health Complex part of the facility. I was told that i would sometimes walk the line when needed but would rarely get called to do so. Thank you all on here for the positive and negative point of view. Even though I never posted, I took note of everything.
