Hi all!

Husband and I relocated to Texas from Hawaii (personally would have never left Hawaii but my hubby is in the military so here we are). Need whatever info or tidbit you can pass onto me about Corpus Christi's hospitals. Ive looked into CHRISTUS Health and the Medical Center of Corpus Christi, those two I'm in limbo about. Need info on both so i can make a better decision. My background is Neuro/SICU/Trauma ICU and also did Research Nursing for a short while.

Also looking to go back to school, need info on ADN-BSN programs around that area.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it!

The South Coast isn't nearly as glam as your previous location, but I hope you can adapt. No blue water, white sands & gentle tradewinds.... but you can't beat the cost of living in CC. Be sure to try a Moody's breakfast taco & enjoy some seafood at Water Street.

For your degree completion, I'd recommend TAMUCC - they have options, including an online (eLine) program. That's pretty much the only game in town if you're looking for something local. They are a state school, so tuition is very reasonable. As far as job selection goes - CHRISTUS is the dominant player but I think you will find that salaries are fairly low throughout the South Texas area, no matter what industry you're in.

Thanks for the info @HouTx, much appreciated! My hubby and I are unfortunately stuck in an apartment lease here in Rockport (about 30-45min from CC). And with what we are paying monthly, this could easily have been a decent house. Everything in Rockport is word of mouth so we just got really unlucky and was pressed for time and settled in an available apartment.

Anyway, the drive to and from school might ruin it for me so I'll def look into TAMUCC's eline program. Do you know of anyone that has completed it and want to share their thoughts/experiences?

Thanks for the foodie bump, I'll def make a nomnom-stop at those places you've recommended! =)
