Specialties Legal

I've been a trauma nurse for 15 years. I want to expand into consulting. The LNCC requires 2000 documented hours as a consultant to be able to take the certification test. I'm finding it difficult to secure any job in the field without the certification.
What have LNCs done to break into this field?
