good morning everyone! my name is constance, i'm from michigan and currently a few classes away from applying to the nursing program at my local community college. it's been put on slow-mo, b/c last august 2005 i gave birth to a baby girl and she keeps us quite busy. but, i'd like to get back in the loop of things here soon. i've worked in a geratric psychiatry unit and a local er, both in which i loved and worked with many nurses. some took online courses and managed to get their nursing degree on the internet. i was just curious if there is anyone here that is doing this or knows someone who did. what are the pros and cons? did it work well for you/them? i guess i'm just exploring my options right now. thanks so much and look forward to getting to know the site and everyone a lot better

If you haven't already, yoiu may also want to post this in the Distance Learning & Education forum. Good luck to you!

I've heard of people getting BSN's online but not through the CC system beacuse they are already RN's. Distance Ed really depends on you and your study habits-you're teaching yourself the material.
