Never Passed the NCLEX

I obtained a BSN in '95. However I was offered a position right out of

college and never passed my NCLEX exam (which I now regret). I'm now

determined to finish where I left off and was wondering are there any

programs in Illinois that will help me sit for the exam.

Thnx

ananyahh,

Welcome to the boards. Have you spoken to your school or local community college? Perhaps they could help.

The hard way might be to call the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations and talk to them, but I'd start w/the local community colleges.

Contact the BON first before doing anything. Being out of school for that long and never having tested for NCLEX, they may require that you do a much larger program than just a refresher course. Refresher courses are also for nurses that have held a license previously.
