I was wondering if anyone had graduated from this program and how they felt about it. I think I am going to have to wait till next fall to begin a program and I would be qualified to apply for the NSC accelerated program if I took some more prereq's. It seems to be pretty intense but doable. I am also going to apply for the regular track also. Is it ridiculously stressful and how did you make your decision between an ADN program and the BSN program (because I am still up in the air as to apply for the ADN program). I am a recent graduate from UNLV (diff major) and just want to be done with school! Input?

If you have a support system in place and don't have to worry about kids, work , ect the. Go for it. Just a FYI they knocked down ten slots from the program and what friends of mine calculated to be the cut off was min 3.5ish gpa pre req, 90ish Teas, and 10% weight to amount of classes you took there. They say it's competitive, yet the numbers for that program are never released like at most nursing schools stating the cut offs.
I applied and was within those ten slots that got cut, but instead of waiting another year I also applied to the regular track and accepted a slot there instead. After some serious thought into it I think I made the better choice for me since: there are few new graduate jobs in the area, I plan on going to NP right afterwards, and given the choice of not seeing my wife for a year just was t an option.
Make an appointment to talk to someone over there, take everything stated with a grain of salt, and good luck!
