CSN students

I was told by a graduate from CCSN that after the first or second semester of nursing school you can work at the hospital. Does anyone know what type of nursing job this is, whether it is after the first or second semester, and how much it typically pays? Thanks in advance, I'm just trying to figure out bills if I get in for the spring.

Oops, looks like dubkaf posted similar info right before my post went up. Sorry.

Specializes in CNA, RN Student.

As a previous poster said, hospitals usually only hire around the time that RN student's are graduating. Is there any possibility NA positions would be available during the semester? The reason I ask is because my next semester looks very time consuming, and I am not sure if I would be able to squeeze in some hours of work. I kinda want to feel it out a little bit to see if I can, but if they don't hire midway, then I guess I am SOL. Does anyone know about extended availability of hours during times like summer vacation or winter break?
