Nevada LPN to Texas LVN

Nurses LPN/LVN

Has anyone ever transferred from NV to TX? I am in the process of moving to Texas where I know there is a higher standard in the amount of education it takes to obtain a LVN license by examination. I know this because after nursing school I tried to apply for a TX LVN license by examination and got denied due to the amount of clinical and lecture hours ( I was short on Geriatric lecture hours and Neonatal clinical hours). Now I have a good standing LPN license in NV and would like to know if anyone has transferred by endorsement from NV to TX and got approved?

The Texas Board of Nursing is less stringent with granting licensure by endorsement. Essentially, as long as your nursing program was approved to operate by the Nevada Board of Nursing, the Texas BON will issue the licensure via the endorsement process.
