Neurology means studying the brain and nervous system. This can include many things: brain tumors, demyelinating processes, neurodegenerative diseases, infectious diseases of the brain and spinal cord, seizure disorders, TBI, and a host of other things. Neuroscience is focused more on how the brain and its functions control the body. It can involve mapping to locate the speech, memory, and motor centers, scans of the structure of the brain, etc. Neuropsychology also falls into the Neuroscience category. Neuroscience is the umbrella under which epileptology stands.
@Surprised1, I'm confused with the terminology used. I'm the medical field it's always only neurology or neurosurgery. Neuroscience seems to a new field of its own. Therefore when I saw the term Neuroscience Nursing course for RN's advancement in my country, I got confused.. Does neuroscience focus what's in Neurology and Neurosurgery?
