So I am freaking out because I take the NET on 10-25 and I have a few questions:

  • Has anyone taken the NET exam for NCTC and sections do they basis your acceptance on?
  • What books are good for review:

-Petersons: Master the nursing school and allied health entrance

exam ed.

-Kaplan: Nursing school entrance exams.

-ERI's Net review book

I really need to review inferences and grammar! I made a 100 on the math (practice net) a 90 on the main idea reading and the rest where in the 70's. I'm worried!!! Writing has always been my thing! The program is only accepting 12:sniff: students 300+ have applied. I wasn't planning on applying for the LVN program (3 classes away from applying to the RN) but my job will pay for the whole program. Plus, after I get my license, my company will place me in their RN program affiliated with El Centro College at no cost.

I dont know what NCTC is but i took the NET and it really isnt that difficult. I used ERIs net review book and studied the night before... i didnt get my results back but i think i did pretty well... at our school they account for the reading, grammar and math section to make up your composite score... i heard the science section is to just see what you know and all the other sections are opinion... good luck!
