Hi all,
I am taking the NET test in June and I'm looking for any books or websites that would help me prepare. I looked on Amazon.com and came away more confused than ever...it seems that no one liked any book they used for test preparation! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

the school I am applying to stopped using the NET and went with the TEAS..but my friend took the NET and she said if you study the study guide that is offered by your school the questions are very similar on the NET test to the study guide.

Hi, I took the NET a few months ago. There is a book titled The Net Study Guide by Educational Resources, Inc. I did not find this book very helpful. I would suggest that you brush up on the math skills that are in the book but as far as the reading questions, the actual test is totally different. Although I did search for all kinds of sources to help me study I found nothing. If you practice you math skills such as decimals, fractions, percents and basic algebra you should be just fine. The only thing bad about the test is that it is timed and it takes a coupple of hours to take the test. No break was offered between the test. If you would like my book, I would be willing to mail it to you. I will never be using it again.

Dianne-
Thank you so much, I would actually take anything I can get my hands on to study, and math is really my weak area. Please e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks again!

The Net Study Guide is available through Eriworld.com. Check Ebay, etc for cheaper prices. :)
Good luck.

Hi, I'm sorry but I mailed the book to another lady this morning. I only had one book, this book is normally available at the bookstore at any local college or community college.

Hi there! I just took the net yesterday, and I used a book published by Educational Resources, Inc. called "Study Guide for the NET, the HOBET, the HELP Entrance Tests." I almost didn't buy it because I flipped through it and everything looked so simple, not to mention it was $39.50 for a 164 page paperback book, but I am glad I went ahead and got it. The NET was fairly simple - just reading comprehension and math, but in reading the study guide and performing the practice tests within it, I realized that I did need to brush up on some of my math skills. The reading comprehension section of the book was pretty helpful as well. I mentioned the practice tests within the book...I think it's very helpful to take the practice tests - if for no other reason than to familiarize yourself with the test beforehand so there's not so much anxiety. Good luck to everyone taking the test!
