Hello, I am a Filipino American considering going to school in the Philippines, and I am checking different colleges in the Philippines to see what the number of clinical hours and theory hours their nursing program provides for the following nursing categories: Medical, Surgical, Obstetric, Pediatric, Psychiatric/Mental Health, and Geriatric.
The schools that I contacted in the Philippines only send me their nursing curriculum, but they have not provided the specific number of hours in each of the categories I mentioned. I really need to know the exact clinical and theory hours for each nursing category so that I can check to see which state I will be eligible to apply for licensure upon graduation. Does anyone have specific knowledge to the exact number of hours in those categories?

Try Makati Medical Center College, they provide the list of hours if you ask them. That school is located at the heart of Makati District in Metro Manila. My friend is a graduate of that school and just recent (last February), she passed the NCLEX in Florida and she only waited for 4 months.
Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction! I will email them and call them as soon as possible. :)
Welcome! Hope it helped you and good luck on looking the right school! :)

It's not just the hours that you need to be looking at. You need to be sure the theory and clinicals are concurrent as well.
