Hey there everyone,
I am currently working in London, but have recently interviewed for a job at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. I have recieved an offer, and am seriously considering moving. Does anyone have any suggestions for safe, affordable areas to live which are close to city center and/or the hospital (located on Crewe road)? I have heard that Leith and Portobello are nice but thought I would try my luck and see if someone who actually lives in the city could make a suggestion.
Thanks!
As you can see by my info I have made the move to Edinburgh and am now firmly implanted into Scottish life. Things up here are a tad different, but so far the people are way friendlier and are really helping me to get my wings under me. Can't say quite yet if the job is going to be the one for me, but I definately am glad that I made the move. It was time to leave London. Too many cooks in the kitchen at my old job. Thanks to all the people who gave me suggestions and took an interest in my case.
Best of Luck,
Pete
Hi Pete,:)
Glad to hear you are settling into the Scottish way of life now. It will be a bit of a culture shock but worth I'm sure. I was wondering if you could give me some advice on working in Canada. I am thinking of working as a nurse there or perhaps the US but Canada is starting to seem a bit more appealing. Am only just starting to look into things so wondered if there is anywhere you would particularly reccommend to work or live?
thanks very much in advance
