labor and delivery nurse
pro:
getting to be a part of the most important day of people's lives
teaching and reassuring new parents about their newborns
con:
dealing with patients who are difficult and view the nurse as the enemy
having a huge amount of responsibility for 2 lives
I started out using computer charting which I recommend. But then got a new job where I had to start paper charting--never know what to say
Gain the respect of the public. Be more and more technically advanced. All the advanced degrees offered.
Grow a thick skin. Got eaten by slightly more experienced nurses at my first job. Also, doctors can be short tempered more due to lack of sleep than aimed at nurses. Patients sometimes are downright rude and nasty.

Fortunate that Teensmom is sympathetic to your cause...although I suspect this isn't what your instructor had in mind. A huge part of nursing is planning ahead to ensure that things are done on time...
Although points to you for being resourceful.
