Need input on 3 leadership situations

Hi everyone!

I'm in a RN-BSN program and need to write a paper on 3 different nursing leadership situations that might occur in a practice setting. At least one of them must involve a financial reimbursement and patient outcome factor. The goal is to then help resolve the situation by applying an appropriate leadership style. I'm having some difficulty thinking of the 3 situations.

Anyone have any ideas?

What have you thought of so far, and why don't you think any of them will work? Surely if you're an RN already, you've run into situations at work in which nursing leadership was in the picture in some way. Surely you've run into situations where financial considerations tried to trump patient outcome, and leadership did something useful. Think some more, and come back to us!

I don't understand what possessed you to write this post. Not only was it unhelpful, judgmental and uncalled for but did NOTHING towards forwarding my understanding or growth as a nurse. Until your post, I thought this was a "safe environment" in which adults interacted. I work full time, go to school and have a family as do many AN members. This assignment was for the first leadership class I had EVER had-and honestly didn't know where to begin-I only needed a gentle nudge-not your judgement or self righteous backlash. I had wracked my brain for three days before I posted, asking for help/guidance. I didn't ask you or any one else to complete my assignment. The assignment was not just turn in three ideas, it was a 12 page paper which I did complete, turned in and earned a 96%. In the future, please refrain from posting if you can't be helpful or provide solid guidance. If you are a teacher, please re-evaluate how you interact with those who come to you for help.
