Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what schools in the Dallas area offer LPN/LVN programs. Are LPN/LVN jobs easy to find in the Dallas hospitals? Also is the ADN program at El Centro a good or respectable program? Thank you for your time. :)

Hi Kcoon,
I know of one College in the Dallas area that offers LVN and I think that is Eastfield in the Dallas County Community College District. Go to the web site http://www.dcccd.edu and click on Eastfield for more information.
As for the ADN at El Centro. I'll say this, it's ultra competative. You need a GPA in the high 3's to be considered competative. Once you're in though your as good as gold.
Hope this helps.

I am going to Concorde in Arlington (between Fort Worth and Dallas is you aren't familiar) for VN. I was going to Tarrant County College in Fort Worth for ADN prereq's before that too. There are several VN schools in this area. The Texas BNE website has a list of accredited nursing schools for both VN and RN. Here is the link: http://www.bne.state.tx.us/gen-edu.htm
I can't quite anwser your question about LVN hospital jobs from personal experience, but I know they are defininetly available, just look at any local hospital website.
Good Luck!
