I think if there's a way to get As in your courses and still improve your TEAS, then sure, do it. But 80% is still a darn good score and I think will make you very competitive, especially if you do well in your science courses. As for what program I got into, I have only applied to Resurrection University in Chicago. I intend to apply to some programs back home in Kentucky though--University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, and Spalding University. None of the KY schools require the TEAS, so I pretty much only took it for Res. Good luck to you!!!

Hello fellow nursing students,I just tool the TEAS V on Monday an got an 80% individual score and placed in the Advanced category. I have an overall GPA of 3.72 and am applying to SJSU, SFSU, Dominican University of California, and Seattle University. I have over 100 hours of volunteer experience in an ER setting, and am also a certified EMT-B. My top choice is SJSU, and their impact ion score cutoff for admission fall 2011 was 10.2, I believe (is anyone knows for sure, please let me know!) I have calculated my impaction score for that school and am coming in around 10.79. I am wondering if I should retake the test to potentially increase my score, or just focus on getting A's in the three prerequisites I am finishing up (Micro, Physio, and Chem)Thanks so much,Mary-Elizabeth :)
