Hello I have been out of nursing school since June 06. I haven't took my NCLEX-PN yet, I honestly do not know where to start I have looked for study groups in my area just to find out that there is absolutly none. I know that I am defiantly tired of making excuses on why I haven't sat for the boards yet, the truth is I'm afraid of failing just the thought gives me a tremedous amount of anxiety. So I have been questioning myself like if I'm scared to take the test how can I have the confidence to save someones life. I did really well in school, but so much time has passed, i'm doubting the things I think I know. I need to be apart of a support group to help me get back on track. I need to have the support of people whom understand me and to hold me accountable. So much has changed in my life since school, now I have a 19 month old toddler that is very demanding, a husband that travels for work. I need to find a balance between being a wife, mom and trying to study to become what I always wanted to be a Nurse. PLEASE HELP all advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You might want to consider a review course, in person or online, to help get you jump started. Kaplan and Hurst have good reputations. Otherwise, just realize that you will need more time to prepare. Give yourself at least four months to get the job done. Good luck.
Thank you I'm going to take a look into those online review courses because they do not have any in my city. I also have the following books Saunders, Davis, Exam Cram, NCLEX-PN Made Incredibly Easy questions & answeres and a couple more review books. I was told to just do as many questions as possible, but I feel like I need to study by category then do some questions. Right now I'm all over the place as soon as I find out how to prepare I have all the time in the world to study. Thanks again for responding.
