Need help desperately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to get some information from you guys regarding the requirements for CRNA admission program in. I am an IMG with MD degree. Infact I graduated more than 10 years ago and since then I have been working as Gneral Medical Practitioner in my home country. I came to USA two years ago. I have been studying for residency application here in the States. However, I wanted to switch to RN and then to CRNA as I would love to work in the OR,but I found it dificult to achieve that either as Anaesthesiologist or Surgeon through USMLE results. Hence I chose to RN to CRNA program.

My qestion is,in the prerequesites to CRNA; BSN or equivalent, high GPA and the GRE OR TOEFL. so,1) is there anyway that My MD degree that I got back in my home country be considered as BSN, I mean if I have my transcripts are evaluated by WES? 2) Which GPA is to be considered or taken into consideration as prerequeites; the one I had in Medical school or the one I am going to earn in RN program? Because, my GPA in medical school was not that much good to be 3 or above for CRNA program admisssion.

Thanks in advance,

Bless you!

I highly doubt that your MD degree from another country would replace a BSN in the admission process for CRNA school. I am going to assume that you are going to need to earn that BSN, try to achieve a gpa of a 3.5 or better and work in the ICU for a year or two just as any other applicant would have to. Your MD degree would probably help in the admissions process, but to become a CRNA, all schools are going to require that BSN. Depending on how old you are, I would just become liscensed as a MD in this country and continue practicing medicine.

The schools I have looked at require a nursing license and a bachelors degree.Yo to complete nursing school to sit for the licensing exam, so nursing school would be the way to go. The whole process is at least six years for that including the CRNA program. Why would you do that instead of completing the requirements to practice medicine in the US?
